Johnny Mac Tennis Project

Changing lives removing racial, social & economic barriers
Changing lives removing racial, social & economic barriers
The Johnny Mac Tennis Project (JMTP) changes young lives by removing the racial, economic and social barriers to success through tennis. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by tennis legend John McEnroe and others, JMTP introduces the sport of tennis as a life-long health, fitness and social activity to thousands of under-resourced New York City area children. For a smaller group of dedicated young athletes, JMTP provides a pathway to success through competitive tennis, leading to college scholarships, careers in the industry, and, for a few, professional tennis careers and, perhaps, Grand Slam titles.

'Spreading the love of tennis to the kids in Cambodia'
Having fallen in love with Siem Reap on a vacation, Greg James quickly noticed one thing missing from the small town he became enamored with: tennis. Quickly making contacts, he began a grassroots youth tennis program and began doing all he could to spread the sport and knowledge of tennis to the youth of Cambodia. In doing so, he has helped break the norm and is teaching kids to dream big. And maybe, just maybe his efforts will help create a tennis champion in this region that once never knew how to play this sport.
